A safe space for all families
Famijeunes is a family organization that has been welcoming families from the Saint-Henri district and Little Burgundy for over 45 years. The organization was born out of an initiative by parents in the neighbourhood to help single-parent families who often find themselves in a particularly difficult financial situation.Through activities for all (parents, children and family) as well as the presence of counsellors, we help break isolation, promote exchanges, encourage learning and strengthen family bonds while having fun. It is essential for us to offer local families a warm, non-judgmental and safe environment in which they can flourish.Since its creation, Famijeunes has continued to meet the needs of families and has seen an increase in demand for its services outside of its traditional schedule. There is indeed an increase in the needs of a new clientele, especially single fathers and newcomers.
